Kenya Online

Kenyan and east African people have been in the UK for many years and have become, along with other Africans, an integral part of British society. According to Wikipedia, the population of UK born Kenyans has exceeded 110'000, 57000 of those in London. However, it has become apparent that the online resources available to Kenyans in the UK is still not proportional when you consider the sheer potential of the internet to bond and inform people on the choices available to them. This issue needs to be addressed as the sites that are in existence at present are not to the standard needed to properly assist, advise and even entertain the Kenyan population in the UK. With this in mind, www.kenyanuk.com was created to become a one-stop shop for Kenyans in the UK, because we deserve better. Hopefully, www.kenyanuk.com can incourage and even embarrass the Kenyan sites available into improving the quality of their websites. With all of the web design packages available, it's a shame these sites have remained in the early nineties. Kenyans are both young and old, and are not all beginners online that need to impressed with flashing lights and whistles, but rather, concise, well planned advice, news and entertainment in an easy to navigate format. Any ideas or comments about this subject would be greatly appreciated. J P Muhuhi
